Aloo Ki Bhujia

  1. Potatoes 8 to 9 large (thick sliced) 
  2. Onions 2 medium (sliced) 
  3. Ginger & garlic paste 1&1/2 tbsp 
  4. Tomatoes 3 medium (chopped) 
  5. Turmeric 1/2 tsp 
  6. Salt 1 & 1/2 tsp 
  7. Red chilli powder 1 tsp (heaped) 
  8. Dried fenugreek leaves 3 tbsp 
  9. Cumin seeds 1 & 1/2 tsp 
  10. Nigella seeds 1 tsp (Kalonji) 
  11. Oil 1/2 cup 
  12. Water 1 to 2 glasses

Recipe

  1. Heat oil in a pan add the onions, ginger & garlic paste fry till golden on high flame. 
  2. Add the cumin seeds, kalonji, dried fenugreek leaves, tomatoes, salt, turmeric, red chilli mix well and cook till the oil comes on the surface. 
  3. Now add the potatoes, water mix and cover and cook on medium flame till the potatoes are cooked and the water dries. 
  4. Garnish with few green chilli. 
  5. Serve hot.
