Matar Paneer

  1. Paneer 265g (3 packets cottage cheese cut in 1 inch pieces and fry till golden) 
  2. Peas 1 cup (boiled) 
  3. Onions 1 medium (sliced) 
  4. Tomatoes 2 medium (chopped) 
  5. Double cream 1/2 cup 
  6. Salt 1 tsp 
  7. Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp 
  8. Fresh ginger 1&1/2 inch piece (sliced) 
  9. Green chilli 2 (sliced) 
  10. Garam masala powder 1 tsp 
  11. Dry fenugreek leaves 2 tbsp 
  12. Coriander powder 1 tbsp 
  13. Cumin seeds 1 tsp 
  14. Cinnamon stick 1 piece 
  15. Oil 3/4 cup 
  16. Turmeric 1/4 tsp

Recipe

  1. Heat half of the oil add onions, ginger, green chilli fry on high flame till gets soft. 
  2. Then add tomato, salt, red chilli, coriander powder, turmeric, garam masala, water 1/2 cup mix and cook on high flame till the tomatoes get soft. Then let it cool and grind to a paste. 
  3. Heat the remaining oil add cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, grinned masala mix well add the fried paneer, peas, water 1 cup, fenugreek leaves mix cover and cook on low to medium for 5 minutes. 
  4. Now add the cream mix cover and simmer for 1 minute on low flame. 
  5. Garnish it with little cream.
  6. Serve hot with chapati or rice.
