Dum Aaloo

  1. Potatoes ½ kg (boiled) 
  2. Clarified butter 3 – 4 tbsp 
  3. Cumin powder ½ tsp 
  4. Coriander powder 1 tsp 
  5. Black pepper powder ½ tsp 
  6. Turmeric ½ tsp 
  7. Ginger & garlic paste 1 tsp 
  8. Yogurt 125 gm 
  9. Salt to taste 
  10. All spice powder ½ tsp 
  11. Green chilies 2 – 3 (chopped) 
  12. Coriander leaves 2 tbsp (chopped)

Recipe

  1. Boil potatoes and prick using toothpick. 
  2. Heat clarified butter in a wok. 
  3. Add in boiled potatoes and shallow fry till golden brown. 
  4. Now remove the potatoes and keep aside. 
  5. Add fennel seeds, cumin seeds, coriander powder, black pepper powder, turmeric and ginger garlic paste. 
  6. Mix well and fry for 1 – 2 minutes. 
  7. Now add yogurt, salt and fried potatoes. 
  8. Mix well and simmer on low flame for 2 – 3 minutes. 
  9. Dish it out, garnish with all spice powder, green chilies and coriander leaves. 
  10. Serve hot.
