Chicken Shawarma
Method 1
Ingredients
For Marination:
- Chicken 1 kg
- Vinegar 2 tbsp
- Soya Sauce 2 tbsp
- Red Chillies 1 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp (Or according to your taste)
- White Pepper 1/4 tsp
- Black Pepper 1/4 tsp
For Sauce:
- Garlic 1 tbsp
- Milk 1/2 cup
- Mayonnaise 3 or 4 tbsp
- Vinegar 1/2 tsp
- lemon 1/2 tsp
- Salt 1/2 tsp
Other Ingredients:
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Lemon Juice 1 tsp
- Cucumber finely sliced 2 large
- Onion cut into rings 2 large
Recipe
- Add chicken in bowl then add all the ingredients written under marination and leave it for 20-30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add all the marinated chicken and cook till the chicken is totally cooked and all water is dried.
- Add few slices of cucumber and onion in it and mix well for 2 minutes.
- Sprinkle lemon juice on cucumber and onion mix well.
- Serve hot with sauce and cucumber and onions.
Method 2
Ingredients
- Chicken ½ kg (boneless)
- Garlic paste 1 tsp
- White pepper 1 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Soya sauce 1 tbsp
- White vinegar 2 tbsp
- Cinnamon 2 tbsp (grinded)
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Chili sauce 3 tbsp
- Yogurt 3 tbsp
- Pita bread (As much required)
- Onion slice (As much required)
- Salad leaves (As much required)
Recipe
- Cut boneless chicken into strips.
- Marinate chicken strips with garlic paste, white pepper, salt, soy sauce, white vinegar, cinnamon, chili sauce and yogurt for an hour.
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in frying pan, add marinated chicken and fry for 10 minutes until it tenderize.
- Now put fried chicken over pita bread.
- Then add tahini sauce, onion and salad leaves and fold it.
- Serve hot with tahini sauce/chili garlic sauce/garlic sauce.
