Chicken Shawarma

Method 1

Ingredients

    For Marination:
  1. Chicken 1 kg
  2. Vinegar 2 tbsp
  3. Soya Sauce 2 tbsp
  4. Red Chillies 1 tsp
  5. Salt 1 tsp (Or according to your taste)
  6. White Pepper 1/4 tsp
  7. Black Pepper 1/4 tsp
    For Sauce:
  1. Garlic 1 tbsp
  2. Milk 1/2 cup
  3. Mayonnaise 3 or 4 tbsp
  4. Vinegar 1/2 tsp
  5. lemon 1/2 tsp
  6. Salt 1/2 tsp
    Other Ingredients:
  1. Oil 2 tbsp
  2. Lemon Juice 1 tsp
  3. Cucumber finely sliced 2 large
  4. Onion cut into rings 2 large

Recipe

  1. Add chicken in bowl then add all the ingredients written under marination and leave it for 20-30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.
  3. Add all the marinated chicken and cook till the chicken is totally cooked and all water is dried.
  4. Add few slices of cucumber and onion in it and mix well for 2 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle lemon juice on cucumber and onion mix well.
  6. Serve hot with sauce and cucumber and onions.


Method 2

Ingredients

  1. Chicken ½ kg (boneless)
  2. Garlic paste 1 tsp
  3. White pepper 1 tsp
  4. Salt 1 tsp
  5. Soya sauce 1 tbsp
  6. White vinegar 2 tbsp
  7. Cinnamon 2 tbsp (grinded)
  8. Oil 2 tbsp
  9. Chili sauce 3 tbsp
  10. Yogurt 3 tbsp
  11. Pita bread (As much required)
  12. Onion slice (As much required)
  13. Salad leaves (As much required)

Recipe

  1. Cut boneless chicken into strips.
  2. Marinate chicken strips with garlic paste, white pepper, salt, soy sauce, white vinegar, cinnamon, chili sauce and yogurt for an hour.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp oil in frying pan, add marinated chicken and fry for 10 minutes until it tenderize.
  4. Now put fried chicken over pita bread.
  5. Then add tahini sauce, onion and salad leaves and fold it.
  6. Serve hot with tahini sauce/chili garlic sauce/garlic sauce.
