Butter (Makhani) Chicken

Ingredients


    For Marination:
  1. Chicken 1 kg (cut in 12 pieces)
  2. Yogurt 1 cup
  3. Tomato puree 1/2 cup
  4. Ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp
  5. Salt 1 & 1/2 tsp
  6. Red chilli powder 1 tsp

  7. For Curry:
  8. Onions 1 large (finely chopped)
  9. Bullet green chilli 4 (sliced)
  10. Cream 1/4 cup
  11. Butter 50g
  12. Oil 1/4 cup
  13. Green cardamom powder 1 tsp
  14. Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  15. Fresh coriander handful

Ingredients


  1. Marinate chicken with the ingredients under marination mix, cover and leave for 1 hour.
  2. Heat oil, butter add onions and fry till the onions becomes transparent on high flame.
  3. Now add the marinated chicken and cook till it gets white on high flame.
  4. Then add water 1 cup and wait for a boil on high flame, then lower the flame to low cover with lid and cook till the oil comes on surface and the chicken is completely cooked.
  5. Now add the cream, green cardamom powder, garam masala powder, green chilli, fresh coriander mix well.
  6. Serve hot.
