Lahori Fish

  1. Fish 1 Kg (cut into pieces) 
  2. Oil for fry 
  3. For Marinade: 
  4. Red chili powder 1 tsp 
  5. Pomegranate seeds 1 tsp (crushed) 
  6. All spice powder 1 tsp 
  7. Carom powder ½ tsp 
  8. Salt 1 tsp 
  9. For Batter: 
  10. Gram flour 1 cup 
  11. Garlic paste ½ tsp 
  12. Red chili powder 1 tsp 
  13. Baking powder ½ tsp 
  14. Green chili 1 tsp (chopped) 
  15. Dry fenugreek 1 tbsp 
  16. For Rice Paste: 
  17. Rice flour 3 tbsp 
  18. Egg 1 
  19. Turmeric powder ½ tsp 
  20. Salt to taste

Recipe

  1. Combine marinade ingredients (red chili powder, crushed pomegranate seeds, all spice powder, carom powder and salt). 
  2. Then apply this mixture on fish pieces and leave for 2 to 3 hours. 
  3. Mix all ingredients of batter (gram flour, garlic paste, red chili powder, baking powder, green chili and dry fenugreek). 
  4. Apply this batter on fish pieces. 
  5. Prepare paste with these ingredients (rice flour, egg, turmeric powder and salt). 
  6. Then roll fish pieces in this paste. Heat oil in skillet and fry fish pieces until cooked and golden. 
  7. Serve with chutney or ketchup.
