Matar Gosht
- Meat 1 kg
Peas (matar) 1 & 1/2 cup
- Onion 1 large (grinned)
- Tomatoes 2 medium (grinned)
- Ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Salt 1 tsp (heaped)
- Red chilli powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tbsp
- Cumin powder 1 tbsp
- Dry fenugreek leaves 3 tbsp
- Garam masala powder 1 tsp
- Green chilli 3
Oil 1 cup
Recipe
- Heat oil add onion, ginger&garlic paste and fry till changes colour on high flame.
- Then add tomato, turmeric, salt, red chilli, coriander, cumin, water 1/4 cup mix well and cook on high flame till the oil comes on the surface.
- Add the meat and cook till it changes colour on high flame, then add water 3 cups mix and wait for a boil on high flame, then cover and cook till the meat is cooked and oil comes on the surface on low to medium flame.
- Now add frozen peas, water 2 large glass mix and cook for further 10 minutes cover on medium flame (Can add more water if you like the curry thin).
- Then add garam masala, green chilli, fenugreek leaves and simmer on low flame for 1 minute.
- Serve hot with paratha, roti or rice.
