Matar Gosht

  1. Meat 1 kg Peas (matar) 1 & 1/2 cup 
  2. Onion 1 large (grinned) 
  3. Tomatoes 2 medium (grinned) 
  4. Ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp 
  5. Salt 1 tsp (heaped) 
  6. Red chilli powder 1 tsp 
  7. Turmeric 1/2 tsp 
  8. Coriander powder 1 tbsp 
  9. Cumin powder 1 tbsp 
  10. Dry fenugreek leaves 3 tbsp 
  11. Garam masala powder 1 tsp 
  12. Green chilli 3 Oil 1 cup

Recipe

  1. Heat oil add onion, ginger&garlic paste and fry till changes colour on high flame. 
  2. Then add tomato, turmeric, salt, red chilli, coriander, cumin, water 1/4 cup mix well and cook on high flame till the oil comes on the surface. 
  3. Add the meat and cook till it changes colour on high flame, then add water 3 cups mix and wait for a boil on high flame, then cover and cook till the meat is cooked and oil comes on the surface on low to medium flame. 
  4. Now add frozen peas, water 2 large glass mix and cook for further 10 minutes cover on medium flame (Can add more water if you like the curry thin)
  5. Then add garam masala, green chilli, fenugreek leaves and simmer on low flame for 1 minute. 
  6. Serve hot with paratha, roti or rice.
