Hazelnut Fish

    For Dipping Sauce
  1. Mayonnaise 1 cup
  2. Orange juice ¼ cup
  3. Vinegar 1 tbsp
  4. Thyme leaves 1 tsp (dried)
  5. Fresh garlic ¼ tsp (minced)
  6. Salt to taste
  7. For Hazelnut Coated Fish
  8. All purpose flour ½ cup
  9. Salt 1 tsp
  10. Black pepper powder ½ tsp
  11. Egg whites 2
  12. Water 2 tbsp
  13. Toasted hazelnut 1 cup (finely chopped)
  14. Fish fillet 500g
  15. Vegetable oil 1 tbsp

Recipe

  1. Blend all dipping sauce ingredients until puree.
  2. Combine flour, salt and pepper in medium bowl; set aside.
  3. Beat egg whites and water in bowl and keep aside.
  4. Place hazelnuts in medium bowl and set aside.
  5. Rinse fish and pat dry. Coat fish in flour mixture, dip fish in egg white mixture.
  6. Coat in hazelnuts, pressing nuts onto fish to coat.
  7. Preheat 1 tablespoon oil in large ovenproof pan over medium high heat.
  8. Add fish and fry 1 to 2 minutes until browned on bottom.
  9. Turn the fish and place pan in oven. Bake at 400°F for 8 to 10 minutes per 1-inch thickness of fish until flakey.
  10. Serve with sweet potato fries and dipping sauce.
