Hyderabadi Red (Laal) Chicken

Ingredients


    For Marination:
  1. Chicken 1 kg (12 pieces)
  2. Yogurt 1 cup
  3. Tomato puree 3 tbsp
  4. Ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp
  5. Salt 1 tsp
  6. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  7. Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  8. Cumin 1 tbsp (dry roasted and crushed)
  9. Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  10. Food colour red 1/4 tsp
    Other Ingredients:
  1. Black cumin seeds 1 tsp
  2. Green chilli 6
  3. Curry leaves 30
  4. Oil 1/2 cup
  5. Fresh mint 1/2 cup

Recipe


  1. Marinate the chicken with the ingredients under marination, mix well cover and leave it for 2-3 hours.
  2. Heat oil add black cumin, curry leaves, green chilli fry for 1 minute.
  3. Now add the marinated chicken mix well cover and cook on low to medium till the chicken is cooked and the oil comes on the surface.
  4. Add fresh mint mix well.
  5. Serve hot.
