Hyderabadi Red (Laal) Chicken
Ingredients
For Marination:
- Chicken 1 kg (12 pieces)
- Yogurt 1 cup
- Tomato puree 3 tbsp
- Ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric 1/4 tsp
- Cumin 1 tbsp (dry roasted and crushed)
- Garam masala powder 1 tsp
- Food colour red 1/4 tsp
Other Ingredients:
- Black cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Green chilli 6
- Curry leaves 30
- Oil 1/2 cup
- Fresh mint 1/2 cup
Recipe
- Marinate the chicken with the ingredients under marination, mix well cover and leave it for 2-3 hours.
- Heat oil add black cumin, curry leaves, green chilli fry for 1 minute.
- Now add the marinated chicken mix well cover and cook on low to medium till the chicken is cooked and the oil comes on the surface.
- Add fresh mint mix well.
- Serve hot.
