Keema Pilau (Mince Pilaf)
Ingredients
- Oil 1/2 cup
- Onions 2 medium
- Ginger & garlic paste 2 tsp
- Tomatoes 1 large
- Mince 1/2 kg
- Salt 2 tsp
- Red chillies 1/2 tsp
- All spices powder 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
- Green chillies 4-5
- Black pepper corns 7-8
- Cloves 5-6
- Cinnamon stick 1 piece
- Rice 3 cup
Recipe
- Heat oil in a pot.
- Add onions and golden fry it then add ginger & garlic paste, tomatoes and water 3 tbsp and mix well.
- Add mince, salt, red chillies, all spices powder, cumin seeds, green chillies, black pepper corns, cloves, cinnamon stick mix well for 5 minutes then add water 1/2 cup and cover the pot with a lid till the mince is totally cooked (It'll almost take 7-9 minutes).
- Add rice then add water. (The water should not be more or less than 1 & 1/2 inch over the rice)
- When a boil comes cover and cook till all the water dries.
- When the water dries cover the lid with a tea towel and simmer for first 5 minutes high flame and then 10 minutes on low flame.
- Serve hot.
